Anthony Ancheta was born and raised in Vallejo, CA, resides in Richmond, CA, and works in technology in San Francisco. His parents introduced him and his brothers to the outdoors as a kid, believing that when they were not in school they should be scaling mountains, running rivers, and chasing wildlife in Northern California.

Anthony joined the Navy after high school, and upon completing his tour sought a deeper experience with the ocean. Kayak fishing became his way of life, a means of detoxing from the hustle and bustle of the Silicon Valley IT world that comprises his day today. Most weekends you can find him in La Jolla head fishing for white sea bass, in Shelter cove seeking salmon and halibut, or navigating the treacherous waters of the Farallon Islands.

Anthony is a valuable member of the Norcal Kayak Anglers (NCKA) and the Salty Nutz fishing crew. His passion for the ocean, combined with his understanding of technology, has pushed him to curate gear that is lighter, stronger, faster, and more resilient. He understands extreme marine conditions and knows that the highest quality gear can enable him and his crew to go further and do more.
